Seven Questions That Demand Answers

Are dark days ahead for America?

Periodically, I like to provide a forum to answer some of the questions I'm asked pertaining to end time prophecy, Christianity, America and the world. And so, without further adieu, here we go:

1) Based upon your writings, you seem to hate Catholics. Who gave you the authority to judge their faith and their devotion to their faith?
Answer: I don't hate Catholics. I hate their religion. If I hated Catholics, I wouldn't write about Catholicism. Roman Catholicism isn't genuine Christianity. And it never was. The Catholic Church promotes an unbiblical gospel of works that the Bible condemns in no uncertain terms. Let me put it this way: You can find absolutely no biblical basis for the Roman Catholic gospel. Then where does it come from? It comes from man and not from God. We're talking about the eternal destiny of human beings. If you die outside of God's grace because you embraced a false gospel during your lifetime here on earth, you'll be condemned to an eternity of doom and damnation. That's the reality of what Catholicism or any unbiblical gospel offers you.

2) It's fairly obvious that you don't like Barack Obama. Doesn't the Bible exhort us to pray for our leaders?
Answer: In fact, the Bible does implore us to pray for our political leaders. (1 Timothy 2:1-5) But just because I dislike someone as a political leader doesn't mean that I don't pray for them. There's a difference between disliking someone and hating someone. I don't hate Obama; I just wish he wasn't the President of the United States. And I think I've made my reasons for that pretty clear in my writings. So, I'm not going to rehash them here, other than to say that I don't believe the man is qualified for the Oval Office. And I think he's done a marvelous job of proving that over the past five years.

3) What does legislating morality mean? I hear that term used frequently.
Answer: Legislating morality means that you try to enforce moral edicts through the legislative process. For several decades in the western world, the Left has accused conservatives of attempting to force their morality down the throats of people by opposing the Left's morally-relativistic agenda. And yet the Left has successfully managed to legislate its "morality" through laws and court edicts that promote unfettered abortions, gay marriage, civil unions and unconstitutional restrictions on the freedom of speech that prohibit Christians from praying and sharing the gospel in public venues. I think that Christians need to stop trying to win their battles at the ballot box and in courtrooms and start winning them by making the faith relevant once again to the world. Remember what the apostle Jude wrote 2,000 years ago? (Jude 1:3) If the Christian Church hadn't stopped practicing what Jude wrote, then I don't think we'd see the magnitude of moral depravity we're witnessing throughout the world, and particularly in the west today.

4) What do you think about America's future? Is America doomed? Or, will America bounce back?
Answer: I'll put it this way: How does God deal with a nation that has murdered 55 million unborn babies via the atrocity of abortion? And how does God deal with a nation that has committed the sacrilege of legalizing gay marriage? I realize that gay marriage isn't legal in all 50 states. But unless the culture in America is changed--and soon--that's eventually going to happen. And what's the common denominator of abortion, gay marriage, skyrocketing out-of-wedlock births and the increasing violence on America's streets? It's the declining influence of America's Christian Church upon the prevailing culture. Sadly, unless America's Christian Church finds its salt and light once again, then I believe that America is destined to become a large third-world sewer. And in many parts of the nation we're already seeing that happen.

5) You've been critical of Messianic Judaism. Shouldn't you rather be glad that Messianic Judaism is bringing Jews to Christ?
Answer: I'm ecstatic that many Jews are coming to Jesus Christ in the last days. In fact, that's a fulfillment of biblical prophecy. Nevertheless, though Messianic Judaism recognizes Christ as the Jewish Messiah, it attempts to combine Christ with Rabbinic Judaism which is an unbiblical man-made religion that's extremely hostile to Christianity. The Messianics claim that they base their faith practices on "the Jewish roots of the Bible". However, as one who was once involved in that movement, I discovered that "the Jewish roots of the Bible" was code for the embrace of unbiblical rabbinic practices that make man's salvation dependent upon obedience to the teachings of the rabbis. I'm all for recognizing the Jewish roots of the Bible, provided that they are rooted in the Bible and not in thinly-disguised man-made religious traditions. Otherwise, you're just asking for trouble.

6) When do you think that we'll see a global government?
Answer: That's hard to say. We're definitely headed in that direction, but several things still have to take place. Among them are: (1) The reunification of 193 world nations into 10 nation groups; (2) the reunion of the Roman Catholic and Eastern Orthodox churches; (3) the emergence of a new cashless global monetary system; (4) a global counterfeit religious revival that will be sparked by demonic signs and wonders and (5) the complete shift of economic, military and political power from the western world to the eastern world. These will probably take several years to happen, but a global government is headed our way. If I had to take an educated guess, I would say it's probably about 50 years away. But it could happen sooner.

7) What are the root causes of poverty? And what is the church's role in dealing with poverty?
Answer: The root cause of poverty is moral depravity. Children that are born into broken, single-parent homes are more likely to be doomed to a life of destitution, drug addiction, crime, joblessness and premature death than those that are born into two-parent homes where there's authority, love and a solid moral structure. Every social study conducted on the subject backs up those results. And yet, the Left claims that poverty is the result of social injustice, economic inequality and racism. That's pure bull. For the Left, poor people have become convenient human pawns for economic and political gain. You now have three-plus generations of poor people in America that have been crushed by the rotten policies of the Left. What is the church's role in dealing with poverty? The church certainly needs to care for the poor, but not by perpetuating poverty through failed leftist programs. Rather, the church needs to help lift the poor out of poverty by instilling solid moral values that will encourage the poor to get an education, become self-reliant and above all, become solid Christian citizens who honor God and uphold His transcendent moral laws.
