The Wheel of Misfortune

If eastern religious concepts such as reincarnation and the Wheel of Karma seem to be gaining a foothold in the modern Christian church, indeed that's happening.

Such pagan religious concepts were shunned by the church for 2,000 years. However, the embrace of such unbiblical doctrines in our modern times is prophetic.

Nearly 2,000 years ago, the apostle Paul warned the early church that "in later times some will abandon the faith and follow deceiving spirits and things taught by demons." (1 Timothy 4:1)

Paul followed up that caveat with a another prophetic warning in his second letter to the apostle Timothy: "For the time will come when men will not put up with sound doctrine. Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of false teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear. They will turn their ears away from the truth and turn aside to myths." (2 Timothy 4:3-4)

Certainly, many professing Christians have abandoned the faith throughout the 2,000 year history of the church to embrace false teachers and their false doctrines. But Paul's prophetic warnings are clear: That the end times preceding the return of Jesus Christ will see a proliferation of false prophets who promote heresies and demonic teachings.

For those who doubt Paul's prophetic caveats concerning the last days and the Christian church, then consider what Jesus Christ Himself warned concerning the last days: "At that time many will turn away from the faith and will betray and hate each other, and many false prophets will appear and deceive many people." (Matthew 24:10-11)

One of the false doctrines that has crept into the church over the past 100 years is the pagan belief in reincarnation. What is reincarnation? It is a religious concept that originated in eastern mysticism and teaches that the human soul occupies many different physical bodies--including animals--during several lifetimes until it achieves perfection.

That teaching, which can be found in the Hindu Vedas, is unbiblical. Nowhere does the Bible teach such a concept. Instead, the Bible clearly says this: "Just as man is destined to die once, and after that to face judgment, so Christ was sacrificed once to take away the sins of many people; and he will appear a second time, not to bear sin, but to bring salvation to those who are waiting for him." (Hebrews 9:27-28)

If reincarnation is true, then Christ's death on Calvary's cross and His subsequent resurrection from the dead are meaningless. Who would Christ have died for if people live multiple lives? Which life would be taken into consideration by God?

Furthermore, if Christ's resurrection is considered the first-fruit from among the dead (1 Corinthians 15:23) then who will His followers be resurrected as if they have lived many different lives? That's why reincarnation is incompatible with the Bible.

Nevertheless, reincarnation continues to gain acceptance within the Christian church, despite its pagan roots. In an interview he gave with beliefnet.com, Dr. Christopher Bache, a professor of religion at Youngstown University claimed a 1999 Gallup Poll revealed that over 20 percent of people who identified themselves as Christians at that time believed in reincarnation. That's a significant number of Christians if that's true.

Here's what Bache said when he was asked about why more professing Christians are embracing this concept: "One thing is that more people are becoming aware of the high caliber of evidence that supports reincarnation. Not only Ian Stevenson's extraordinary studies with children, but also therapeutic evidence and the large number of clinical psychologists who are doing past life therapy. That discipline has matured a great deal over the past 25 years." Christians and Reincarnation - Beliefnet.com

Indeed it has. However, what type of evidence is Bache suggesting that allegedly proves the transmigration of the human soul? If that "evidence" has been produced through hypnosis, then such evidence cannot be considered because hypnosis is nothing more than another name for the occult practice of mesmerism.

And mesmerism involves neutralizing the free will via hallucinogenic drugs, or altered states of consciousness via hypnosis. And when that happens, demonic spirits can invade a person's soul and take over their mind to plant false memories and experiences of times, dates and places that never happened.

That's one of the reasons why Christ refused to let demonic spirits speak before He cast them out of people because the spirits were liars under Satan's authority sent by the devil to deceive. (Mark 1:23-27, Luke 4:41) Tragically, the so-called evidence that Bache cites is probably nothing more than demonic hoaxes that are gleaned from hypnotic episodes.

Furthermore, Bache claims that reincarnation "helps us understand the existence of suffering and evil...What it does is expand our understanding of how much time we have to perfect the life process...if by reincarnation you expand the idea that we have not a hundred years but millions of years..."

Again, that's unbiblical and it comes directly from the eastern religions. The Bible never teaches that a person gets additional opportunities to get it right with God if they fail in a particular lifetime. The Bible clearly reveals we're given only one life to live and if we blow it, there will be no second, third or even multiple chances to get it right. If there are multiple chances, then Christ died on the cross in vain.

What reincarnation does is give people a false sense of security that they can live careless and immoral lives because they believe that they will be given additional chances by God to get things right.

Bache even goes on to make the preposterous claim that Christ promoted reincarnation, but the early church fathers edited that out of the scriptures. If Christ did promote such a concept, then why did He give the account of an unnamed rich man and a poor man named Lazarus, as recorded in Luke's Gospel? (Luke 16:19-31)

That account details a rich man who is cast into hell after living a life of selfish, opulent greed on earth. Christ clearly reveals that the man is not only consigned to hell, but that he is unable to get out. If reincarnation is true, then the man wouldn't be consigned anywhere in the spiritual realm.

Reincarnation is the first cousin of evolution because it teaches that the soul travels on an evolutionary path toward godhood through many different lifetimes. The precept of this is that it takes a long time for a person to learn his or her lessons in order to achieve perfection.

However, it doesn't take multiple lifetimes to get right with God. It only takes the reality that we are all sinners who have fallen short of the glory of God (Romans 3:23) and that's why God sent His Son

Jesus Christ into the world to die for our sins. When we accept God's provision for our sins by faith in Christ's death on the cross and his resurrection from the dead, then we are born again--not into another mortal life, but rather into eternal life through Christ. (Romans 10:9-12)

Still, there are those who refuse to accept the fact that reincarnation is an unbiblical pagan concept that is demonically inspired. Though the Roman Catholic Church officially rejects reincarnation, an archbishop named Cardinal Mercier (1851-1926) taught that reincarnation was plausible and possible.

Others throughout history who taught this pagan concept in the name of Christ included Nemesius, Bishop of Emesa; (Fourth Century A.D.) St. Jerome; (360-420 A.D.) St. Sulpitius Severus, (363-420 A.D.) and St. Brigid of Kildare. (525 A.D.)

Though there have been professing Christians throughout history who have attempted to reconcile reincarnation with the Bible, it simply can't be done. Christ frequently warned of God's judgment after physical death, and that death includes the reality of hell.

For example, in the Beatitudes, Christ said this: "If your right eye causes you to sin, gouge it out and throw it away. It is better for you to lose one part of your body than for your whole body to be thrown into hell. And if your right hand causes you to sin, cut it off and throw it away. It is better for you to lose one part of your body than for your whole body to go into hell." (Matthew 5:29-30)

That would be meaningless if reincarnation is true. If reincarnation is true, then hell becomes the ultimate contradiction because under the concept of reincarnation, there is no judgment--only spiritual evolution via endless incarnations.

And so, reincarnation is just another pagan concept that is now increasingly being embraced by the end time church. However, how many Christians are paying attention to the warnings that Christ and Paul issued concerning this kind of end time deception?

The "Religion of Peace"

Murder in Brussels

We're repeatedly told that Islam is a "religion of peace" that's been hijacked by a few radical wackos who have blemished Islam's impeccable image.

If that's true, then those wackos certainly have a way of getting around in the world. Recently, one of them showed up at a Jewish museum located in Brussels, Belgium and gunned down Emanuel Riba and his wife Miriam before he fled into a waiting car outside the museum. The shooter also killed a volunteer worker at the museum.

The Ribas left behind two teenager daughters in Tel Aviv, Israel, who had to bid farewell to their parents at a funeral ceremony.

While no one has yet been arrested for the murders or has emerged in the cyber-world to take credit for them, you can bet that it was an Islamist who pulled the trigger. While the embers of Nazism still smolder throughout Europe, that hatred pales in comparison to the satanic hatred that burns in the belly of Islamists.

While I've written extensively on the "Religion of Peace" and the violence embedded within its scriptures, I think some things concerning this religion need to be repeated.

First of all, Islam isn't a religion of peace and it never was. It's a violent religion that encourages its adherents to kill and maim unbelievers in the name of its god Allah. For example, the Koran contains 109 war verses such as this one: "Fighting is prescribed for you, and ye dislike it. But it is possible that ye dislike a thing which is good for you, and that ye love a thing which is bad for you. But Allah knoweth, and ye know not." (Sura 2:216)

Here's another example: "Let those fight in the way of Allah who sell the life of this world for the other. Whoso fighteth in the way of Allah, be he slain or be he victorious, on him We shall bestow a vast reward." (Sura 4:74)

And there's more: "The punishment of those who wage war against Allah and His messenger and strive to make mischief in the land is only this, that they should be murdered or crucified or their hands and their feet should be cut off on opposite sides or they should be imprisoned; this shall be as a disgrace for them in this world, and in the hereafter they shall have a grievous chastisement"
(Sura 5:33)

Those are just three of the many verses contained in the Koran that mandate violence against unbelievers. Violence then, has been Islam's most effective recruiting tool since its inception in the 7th century A.D.

While Islam encourages hatred of its enemies and submission to Allah via the sword, it promotes a maniacal hatred toward the Jews. Islam teaches that a global Ummah (one world under Islam and the Imam Mahdi) cannot be realized until all the Jews have been removed from the earth. That's why Islamists venerate Adolf Hitler, even though he was an atheist and a detestable pagan.

In the Sahih Bukhari Hadith (Sayings of Muhammad) we read this: "The last hour will not come until the Muslims fight against the Jews and the Muslims will kill them until the Jews hide themselves behind stones and trees. The stones and trees will say Muslim; the servant of Allah, there is a Jew behind me; come and kill him. (Sahih Muslim, 5203)

And so, there will never be peace between Israel and the Islamic world. Islam considers the Jews reprobate and beyond redemption. And the existence of Israel in the world and particularly in the midst of Islamic nations is considered an insult to Allah.

Most people couldn't care less about Israel and certainly couldn't care less about the recent murders of Emanuel and Miriam Riba. In fact, there are a lot of folks--including professing Christians--who'd like to see Israel and even the Jewish people disappear from the face of the earth.

But remember this scripture quote from the Lord concerning those who hate the Jews and the nation of Israel: "I will bless those who bless you, and whoever curses you I will curse; and all peoples on earth will be blessed through you." (Genesis 12:3)

You treacherous Christians might want to remember that scripture before you put on Palestinian Keffiyehs and go marching alongside those who call for the murder of Jews and the destruction of Israel.

And you might want to remember those 109 war verses in the Koran that unmask the ugly face of the "Religion of Peace."

Blind Religious Guides

Remember this? The Laughing Revival

Rodney Howard-Browne, the pastor of a mega-church called The River that's located in Tampa, Florida, typifies what's wrong today with Christianity in the United States and throughout much of the western world.

Browne aptly recognizes that America has a very serious moral problem: "We've got sex-trafficking. We've got abortion. We've got the resurgence of racism. We've got hatred that is abounding...three thousand babies aborted every single day in this country. We have over 300 million people; we use over 70 percent of the world's drugs."
http://www.cbn.com/cbnnews/us/2014/May/Casting-a-Gospel-Net-Across-the-Nations-Heart/

But then Browne calls for the Christian Church in America to rise up against the moral decay through a great revival that he believes will be based upon supernatural phenomena.

And Browne even claims that God Himself has revealed to him that such a revival is coming to America. Browne recently said this: "There's coming a revival of signs and wonders and the lost. And He (God) said, 'Go tell the Church to get ready for the coming revival.'"

Browne calls this forthcoming revival the "Third Awakening." The two previous awakenings or revivals occurred in the 18th and 19th centuries when the young nation returned to God after falling away into sin and debauchery.

However, the America that existed in those eras was very different from the America that exists today. Americans who lived during the 18th and 19th centuries were far more God-fearing and biblically knowledgeable than Americans are today.

For example, the majority of American Christians who lived during the 18th and 19th centuries understood the difference between true biblical Christianity and Roman Catholicism. Back then, most Americans understood that the God of Islam wasn't the same as the biblical God who consists of the Heavenly Father, Jesus Christ the Son and the Holy Spirit. And most Americans believed that Jesus Christ provided the only way to salvation and eternal life. (John 14:6)

And I think that most Americans who lived during the 18th and 19th centuries also understood that true revivals began not with circus type carnival events featuring people barking like dogs; growling like bears or laughing like drunken idiots.

Rather, they recognized that revivals began when thousands of people got down on their hands and knees and asked God to forgive them of their sin and rebellion against Him.

Why did I mention people barking like dogs and laughing like drunken idiots? Remember something called the Laughing Revival that became extremely popular back in the 1990s? That was Browne's attempt at a Third Awakening 20 years ago when the charismatic preacher claimed that the presence of the Holy Spirit in the church manifested in folks being overcome by infectious, uncontrollable laughter.

Browne attributed that behavior to the beginning of a great Christian revival. We know how that revival turned out, don't we?

What Browne usually fails to mention about his Laughing Revival is that it allegedly began during one of his sermons when people suddenly started falling out of their chairs and rolling on the floor, laughing uncontrollably. The irony there is so graphic that it needs no further comment.

What's not ironic is the fact that Rodney Howard-Browne is yet another one of those false prophets that Christ warned us would appear in the end times: "At that time many will turn away from the faith and will betray and hate each other, and many false prophets will appear and deceive many people." (Matthew 24:10-11)

Why do charismatic hucksters such as Browne continue to thrive and stay in business despite their legion of failed prophecies? Let the apostle Paul answer that question: "For the time will come when men will not put up with sound doctrine. Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear. They will turn their ears away from the truth and turn aside to myths." (2 Timothy 4:3-4)

And charismatic flimflam artists such as Rodney Howard-Browne are waiting to tickle those itching ears with their sweet prophetic nothings.

Living in the Last Days

Elliot Rodger

There are two things that will inevitably happen after 22-year-old Elliot Rodger killed seven people including himself in the town of Isla Vista, California: (1) That Rodger will be described as a criminally insane psychopath and (2) opportunistic politicians will exploit the tragedy to scream for even more draconian gun control legislation.

First of all, Rodger wasn't a psychopath. Rather, he was evil. Psychopaths don't write elaborate, detailed 140-page manifestos that shout out their grievances against the world and lay out their plans to avenge those grievances.

Rodger's manifesto was easy to understand. Psychopaths aren't easy to understand. Their notes and letters are usually garbled, paranoid nonsense that resemble distorted mental graffiti.

Rodger's manifesto was none of that. It described a selfish young man with an inflated opinion of himself who hated the world and particularly young women because they refused to associate with him.

Rodger lamented the fact that he was a 22-year-old virgin who couldn't get a date because he believed that women preferred brutish slobs who treated them badly. Whether that's true or not is anyone's guess.

However what is true is the fact that Elliot Rodger was a product of a nihilistic, narcissistic generation that has been raised on the godless values of humanistic psychology and its gospel of self-esteem. The self-esteem gospel, that's even being preached in many churches, teaches that a person cannot be truly happy and love other folks until that person loves himself or herself.

That's not only unbiblical, it's a demonic lie. Nowhere does the Bible teach such a heresy. Rather, the Bible stresses humbleness and humility: "Humble yourselves before the Lord, and he will lift you up." (James 4:10)

To the early church in Rome, the apostle Paul wrote this: "For by the grace given me I say to every one of you: Do not think of yourself more highly than you ought, but rather think of yourself with sober judgment, in accordance with the faith God has distributed to each of you." (Romans 12:3)

Rodger's problem wasn't that he didn't love himself enough--he loved himself too much and he was angry that others--particularly young women--didn't share that same opinion he had of himself.

If Rodger really hated himself he would have rejoiced at being put down and rejected by women. Rather, he hated the rejection because it punctured a hole in his massive ego.

How many other Elliot Rodgers exist who are infatuated with themselves and are angry with others who aren't? There are probably millions of them. Certainly, most of them won't resort to violence to punish those who refuse to worship them.

But some will. And tragically, now that Rodger's grievances have been aired, others may step out of the shadows and resort to violence to attack those who they believe have wronged them by ignoring, insulting or rejecting them.

The apostle Paul warned us 2,000 years ago that this sort of evil would prevail in the end times. In his second epistle to fellow apostle Timothy, Paul wrote that people would be "lovers of themselves" and "without self control". (2 Timothy 3:1-5)

Elliot Rodger has become another fulfillment of end-time biblical prophecy. The antidote for this sort of violence isn't the passage of more gun control laws that won't accomplish anything, or better psychiatric screening for those who seek to purchase guns and ammunition.

Rather, the antidote is found in the biblical gospel that implores everyone to turn from evil, repent from sin and be born again into eternal life through faith in the Son of God Jesus Christ for His death on the cross for our sins and His resurrection from the dead.

There simply isn't any other way.

Roman Catholicism and Anti-Semitism

The resurgence of Anti-Semitism

When we study the long sordid history of anti-Semitism, we discover that its roots inevitably trace all the way back to the beginning of the Roman Catholic Church.

From its inception in the 4th Century A.D. , the Catholic Church has waged war against the Jews, beginning with its establishment of the Sunday Sabbath that was instituted to separate the Christians from the Jews by arrogantly declaring that the (Roman Catholic) Church had replaced the Jews as God's chosen people.

Then there were the Crusades that began in the late 11th century that resulted in the deaths of tens of thousands of Jews.

Then there were in the Spanish Inquisitions that began in the late 15th century. The Spanish Inquisitions forced thousands of Jews to flee Spain to avoid being forcefully converted to Roman Catholicism.

Those Jews who refused to convert were brutally tortured before they were killed. Even those Jews who agreed to convert were tortured if they were merely suspected of being insincere.

And then there were the ghettos established throughout Europe beginning in the Middle Ages that were designed to keep the Jews separate from the gentiles. The Jews who lived in these ghettos were often denied the same rights as gentiles and were restricted from traveling and working in certain professions.

How prevalent was anti-Semitism in the Catholic Church? Even Martin Luther, the father of the Protestant Reformation who was able to recognize his church's false gospel, wasn't able to recognize its racism.

Here's what Luther said: "Therefore be on your guard against the Jews, knowing that wherever they have their synagogues, nothing is found but a den of devils in which sheer self-glory, conceit, lies, blasphemy, and defaming of God and men are practiced most maliciously and veheming his eyes on them."
http://www.jewishvirtuallibrary.org/jsource/anti-semitism/Luther

Here's another pearl from Luther: "But what will happen even if we do burn down the Jews' synagogues and forbid them publicly to praise God, to pray, to teach, to utter God's name? They will still keep doing it in secret. If we know that they are doing this in secret, it is the same as if they were doing it publicly. for our knowledge of their secret doings and our toleration of them implies that they are not secret after all and thus our conscience is encumbered with it before God."

Where did Luther's anti-Semitism come from? The early church fathers who were arch-racists. St. Augustine (354-430 A.D.) is credited with this prayer: "How hateful to me are the enemies of your Scripture! How I wish that you would slay them (the Jews) with your two-edged sword, so that there should be none to oppose your word! Gladly would I have them die to themselves and live to you!"
http://www.yashanet.com/library/fathers.htm

And John Chrysostom, considered one the "greatest" scholars of the early Catholic Church, said this: "The synagogue is worse than a brothel…it is the den of scoundrels and the repair of wild beasts…the temple of demons devoted to idolatrous cults…the refuge of brigands and dabauchees, and the cavern of devils. It is a criminal assembly of Jews…a place of meeting for the assassins of Christ… a house worse than a drinking shop…a den of thieves, a house of ill fame, a dwelling of iniquity, the refuge of devils, a gulf and a abyss of perdition."…I would say the same things about their souls… As for me, I hate the synagogue…I hate the Jews for the same reason."

Certainly, anti-Semitism existed in the early church before the Catholic Church appeared. However, the Catholic Church sanitized anti-Semitism to the point where it became socially acceptable within that church.

And as the Catholic Church began to spread her rotten influence across the world, anti-Semitism spread along with it until it penetrated nearly every fabric of the secular world.

When he was asked why he had specifically targeted the Jews for extinction, the infamous Adolf Hitler pointed to his Roman Catholic upbringing: "I have been attacked because of my handling of the Jewish question. The Catholic Church considered the Jews pestilent for fifteen hundred years, put them in ghettos, etc., because it recognized the Jews for what they were. In the epoch of liberalism the danger was no longer recognized. I am moving back toward the time in which a fifteen-hundred-year-long tradition was implemented. I do not set race over religion, but I recognize the representatives of this race as pestilent for the state and for the Church, and perhaps I am thereby doing Christianity a great service by pushing them out of schools and public functions."
http://www.prophecyreviewonline.org/apps/articles/

Has the Catholic Church ever apologized for her sins against the Jews? She has not. Pope Francis is scheduled to visit Israel shortly where he will likely exploit the plight of Palestinians living in refugee camps to lambaste Israel as a human rights abuser. And if he does that, the world will undoubtedly listen and agree with him.

Some things never change. Just as God never changes (Malachi 3:6), neither does the Roman Catholic Church.

The Existence of Spiritual Evil

The reality of the demonic

It never ceases to amaze me how utterly ignorant and uninformed many Christians are when it comes to the reality of spiritual evil.

Despite the fact that the Bible clearly reveals the existence of a dark spiritual realm under the control of Satan and his fallen angels who are better known as demons, many Christians either profess total ignorance of that realm or they deny that it even exists.

The apostle Paul certainly knew that it existed. He was well aware of Satan and he was quite familiar with the devil's schemes. (2 Corinthians 2:11) Paul understood that Satan's goal was and is to prevent the salvation of every human being on the planet. And Paul frequently encountered interference from the devil during his travels throughout the ancient gentile world.

Here's what Paul wrote to the early church at Ephesus regarding evil: "Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. Put on the full armor of God so that you can take your stand against the devil's schemes. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms." (Ephesians 6:10-12)

Paul didn't call the early church to go to war against the devil. Rather, he alerted the church to the reality that this evil realm not only existed but had literally spread its rotten influence via its lies and deception throughout the entire world.

And just as in Paul's time, you can find that same evil firmly embedded throughout the world today in education, religion, popular culture, science, entertainment, politics, the media, the arts, sports etc.

In science and education, evil manifests in Darwin's theory of evolution that denies God by offering a purely natural and completely bogus theory for the existence of life on earth. Darwin's theory is so bad and unworkable that anyone with even a rudimentary knowledge of DNA and microbiology should be able to understand how impractical the theory is.

However, the theory has long been taught as truth because it denies God. Without God, there is no moral accountability and ultimately no sin. Thus, without God, there's no hell and no judgment after death. The fact that Darwin's theory lives on is further proof of the existence of evil in the heavenly realms.

In religion, evil manifests in creeds that either deny that Jesus Christ is the Jewish Messiah and the Son of God (Islam, Rabbinic Judaism); deny that Christ died for all sinners on the cross (Jehovah's Witnesses, Mormonism, Christian Science) or deny that salvation is gained strictly by faith in Christ's death on the cross for all sin and His resurrection from the dead. (Orthodox Christianity, Roman Catholicism)

And in the media, arts, sports, entertainment and popular culture, evil exists in the utter depravity that is advanced and celebrated.

Alcoholism, drug use, sexual promiscuity and perversion, greed, selfishness, paganism, debauchery and the violent inner-city gang culture resplendent with body piercings, lascivious clothing and tattoos are proudly promoted by many people in these fields. And young, impressionable minds are contaminated by these types of values that are touted as hip and cool.

Certainly, the devil can't violate anyone's free will by forcing them to either follow a false religion or believe lies that are taught as scientific truth. But he can coerce folks through deception, persecution and force. And he has an army of fallen human beings who willingly or unknowingly do his bidding.

If what remains of the Christian church on earth really wants to regain its influence in the world again, then it's going to have to acknowledge the existence of spiritual evil. I recommend that Christians read Ephesians 6 and read it very closely.

The church isn't going to overcome evil at the ballot box. Nor is the church going to overcome evil by compromising with it. Rather, the church needs to confront evil head on if it wants to change the culture that's headed into the moral and spiritual abyss.

But in order for that to happen, the church needs to recognize evil and recognize where it's coming from.

The Prophetic Persecution

The crucifixion of a Coptic Christian

For those of you who continue to claim that Jesus Christ was nothing more than some charismatic preacher who managed to attract a group of followers, then you need to answer some questions.

Such as, how could an ordinary man whose ministry in ancient Israel amounted to just three and a half years, be so universally recognized across the world 2,000 years later? And also remember that this "ordinary" man never traveled outside of Israel unless you count the brief time he spent in Egypt as a newborn when his parents took him there to avoid Herod.

Notoriety doesn't usually endure with ordinary men. Their memories and accomplishments may linger for a few years, but they eventually fade and are forgotten. Not so with Christ. His legacy continues to live on. Just as the ancient prophet Isaiah said it would over 700 years before Christ appeared on earth. (Isaiah 9:7)

How about this question: How could an ordinary man so accurately predict specific events that are now occurring in the end time world? Christ revealed nine specific prophetic signs that would take place in the world before his return.

Those signs are: (1) The appearance of false messiahs; (2) the increase in wars and rumors of wars; (3) disputes and conflagrations between nations; (4) the increase in famines and earthquakes; (5) the persecution of his followers; (6) the collapse of Christianity; (7) the appearance of false prophets; (8) the explosion of crime and violence and (9) the appearance of the Antichrist. (Matthew 24:4-28)

While the Antichrist has yet to appear, only a fool would deny that the other eight signs aren't being fulfilled. For example, since the dawn of the 20th century, we've seen a significant increase in earthquakes and famines across the world. http://www.prophecyreviewonline.org/apps/articles/

We've also seen an explosion of violence and crime across the world. And we've seen millions of people abandon Christianity over the past 50 years. In formerly Christian Europe, many churches are virtually empty on Sundays. In the United States, approximately 8,000 churches have gone out of business since the 1950s, despite the fact that the population has more than doubled.

And we're seeing the global persecution of Christians. Just as Christ warned would come in the last days. An ordinary man doesn't predict things like that. Concerning the prophetic persecution, Christ warned: "Then you will be handed over to be persecuted and put to death, and you will be hated by all nations because of me."  (Matthew 24:9)

Here are some examples of that persecution. From the Voice of the Martyrs: "Yet another Christian was murdered in Mogadishu earlier this month (April). "Sufia" was killed by a group of armed men who burst into her home and dragged her outside, shooting at neighbors who tried to rescue her. The suspects then fled, and police are still searching for them. Sufia's parents, who were present at the time of the assault, were physically unharmed but are now mourning the devastating loss of their daughter."

Here's another example: "Three Christian humanitarian workers were kidnapped (in Cameroon) on the night of April 4th after a group of armed men stormed their small parish in Tchéré. The assailants also ransacked church buildings before heading toward the nearby Nigerian border. Gilberte Bussiere, a Canadian nun who is in her mid-70s, as well as Giampaolo Marta and Gianantonio Allegri, two priests from Italy, were all involved in social development and education within the country. At last report, there was no news of the missing missionary workers. Sources suspect that the Islamic group Boko Haram may be responsible for the abductions, as the group has kidnapped other Christians and foreign nationals in the area. Cameroon's north -- which borders the countries of Nigeria, Chad and Central African Republic -- has become a base for such militants." www.persecution.net

And there are many other examples of the persecution of end time Christians. It's even happening in the United States. American Christians are being shunned, mocked, insulted and publicly humiliated. They're losing their jobs and are even being threatened with incarceration for supporting biblical marriage and opposing abortion. That's how bad it's getting in America.

And Jesus Christ warned us 2,000 years ago that this was coming. Now it's here. That's not bad for some ordinary, itinerant preacher from Galilee, is it?

Oh, there's also something that a follower of his named Peter predicted concerning the end times. Peter warned that scoffers would come in abundance in the last days. (2 Peter 3:3)

And come they have.

New Jews and Old Jews

Steven Spielberg and Barack Obama

Throughout the history of the Jewish people, there have existed two distinct groups: One group that has remained loyal to God and honored His laws and another group that has rebelled against God while spurning His laws and profaning His name.

The Lord revealed through the ancient prophet Ezekiel that the reason why He removed the Jews from Israel and scattered them across the world was because they continually broke His laws and violated His covenants. (Ezekiel 39:7)

And that occurred long before the appearance of Jesus Christ. In 586 B.C., Babylonian King Nebuchadnezzar and his armies invaded Jerusalem and ransacked that city while taking thousands of Jews into captivity.

They remained in captivity until 445 B.C. when Persian ruler Darius I issued a royal decree to allow the Jews to return to Jerusalem to rebuild their holy city.

Christ appeared 483 years later and was subsequently rejected and crucified by His own people. Then, in 70 A.D., the Romans invaded Jerusalem and ransacked the city while setting fire to the Jewish Temple.

And in 130 A.D., the Romans returned under Emperor Hadrian to quash the Bar Kochba rebellion; destroy what was left of the Temple and rename the land of Israel Syria Palestinia or Palestine.

And yet, despite their corporate rebellion against Him, the Lord has preserved a remnant of Jews (Isaiah 4:3-4, Ezekiel 20:43, 39:29, Hosea 2:20 Romans 11:26) who have remained loyal to Him throughout the centuries. These are the Jews who embraced Christ as the Jewish Messiah and formed the early church that began in Jerusalem and eventually spread across the entire world.

And these are the Jews who are leading thousands of Jews and Gentiles to salvation in Christ in the modern times. They are the ones who the ancient prophet Hosea (Hosea 3:5) and the apostle Paul (Romans 11:25-32) foretold of concerning the prophetic return of the Jews to God and Christ in the last days.

However, that remnant of bad Jews continues to exist as well. They are the descendants of the wicked Jews who worshiped detestable pagan gods; murdered God's prophets, crucified Christ on trumped up charges and brutally persecuted the early church.

They are the descendants of Israel's ancient wicked kings such as Manasseh, Ahab, Jeroboam, Shallum and Hoshea. They are the spiritual descendants of Judas Iscariot, the Pharisees, Sadducees, the temple money-changers and the corrupt priests who offered blessings for a fee.

Who are some of them today? They are the Jews who have disowned Israel by casting their lot with murderous Islamists who seek to destroy the tiny Jewish nation.

They are the Jews who donate millions of dollars to godless liberal causes such as abortion, euthanasia, confiscatory taxes, socialized health care, gay marriage, radical environmentalism, fascist speech codes and draconian restrictions on the First, Second and Fourth Amendments.

And they are the Jews who are proud humanists, Marxists, Communists and socialists. They hate Jesus Christ, conservatives and Christians while they embrace such fallen human beings as Barack Obama, Fidel Castro, Che Guevara and Hugo Chavez.

They are the enemies of God; the spawn of Satan, human refuse and pond scum. Though they claim to be Jews, they aren't. Rather they belong to the synagogue of Satan (Revelation 3:9) and they want to carry out their spiritual father's desire (John 8:44) which is to murder God's people.

Before you accuse me of anti-Semitism, read my bio in the right column. I don't hate the Jews. Rather, I hate evil and despise those who willingly allow themselves to become slaves of wickedness and depravity.

Thus, my prayer is for those Jews who follow evil to repent and to come to Jesus Christ for their eternal salvation. However, the reality is that some will and most probably won't.

And woe to those who won't. A curse be upon them.

Q and A Time: World Government

The stuff of conspiracy nuts?

Today we're launching a monthly post to answer some pertinent questions that we get asked from letters and emails.

Question: You frequently write about a coming world government. How is that going to happen and when?

Answer: First of all, a world government is a very complicated thing. You're talking about 193 nations being asked and even coerced to forgo their individual sovereignty and allow themselves to be placed under the authority of an international governing body. Who's going to do that? What are the benefits? Who's going to be responsible for security? What will the borders look like? What kind of financial system will be in place? How much freedom and autonomy will people have? Who will handle the inevitable disputes between nations? What are the rules going to be? Will there be religious freedom, and how much? That isn't something that happens overnight. It takes many years. However, it's coming, just as biblical prophecy foretold thousands of years ago. (Daniel 7,8, Revelation 13, 17) Who's behind a world government? Not any one particular group but several groups that all seem to be tied in with the United Nations. Some of those groups are the Club of Rome, the Worldwide Fund for Nature, Earth System Governance Project, World Nature Organization, the Trilateral Commission, Bilderbergers and the Council on Foreign Relations, just to name a few.

Question: Many people believe that the notion of a world government is the stuff of conspiracy nuts. They believe that only crackpots believe in such stuff. How do you respond to that?

Answer: Many people are in denial. They don't want to see a world government because they know what that will bring--tyranny, oppression, loss of individual freedom, mass murder, religious persecution etc. And so, they laugh it off as the fantasies of folks who read too many books written by people such as Tom Horn and Tex Marrs. But consider that in some ways--many ways--the foundation for a world government is already in place. We have a World Health Organization; (WHO) a World Bank, a World Court located in the Hague, a World Labor Organization and of course, the World Trade Organization. (WTO) And there are many more organizations. Currently, their power is restrained. For example, the U.S. Constitution takes precedence over the power of these groups. However, once that barrier is removed, then American citizens could be subject to international laws. This is why the Obama administration wants to weaken the Constitution and place America under international law. That isn't a conspiracy--anyone who's been paying attention for the last five years has seen that. Evidently, a lot of folks haven't been paying attention. To be fair, Obama isn't the first president to favor international law over the U.S. Constitution. His predecessor George W. Bush did that as well as his predecessor Bill Clinton. Is that a conspiracy? You can decide.

Question: Many people continue to insist that Barack Obama is the Antichrist. What's your opinion?

Answer: He's not the Antichrist, but he's a terrible president. Let me correct that--he's a catastrophe. Concerning the Antichrist, the Bible tells us that he will come from Russia (Daniel 11, Ezekiel 38,39) and he will rise to power through the Roman Catholic Church. (Revelation 17) Since Obama isn't from Russia and he's not a Catholic, then that eliminates him right there. I understand why Obama is reviled by so many people. He's a narcissist, megalomaniac, racist and a compulsive liar. He's also a Marxist who hates capitalism; loathes conservatives and Christians, and he has absolutely no idea what he's doing, how he's doing it and why he's doing it. He's a made-for-TV president who would make a great TV president if he was just an actor. Unfortunately, he's the real thing. There are two things you need to understand about Obama: (1) He's essentially a puppet president who was elected by the left to help them impose their agenda on the nation and (2) he really doesn't like what he's doing. As for the first thing, American leftists encouraged Obama to run for the presidency back in 2007 because they needed someone who could win them an election. They had lost the previous two elections because their candidates (Al Gore, John Kerry) were complete phonies who were out of touch with most people. When Obama appeared on the national scene in 2004 at the Democratic Convention where he gave his legendary speech, leftists believed that they'd received a gift from heaven. Obama was smart, young, cool and black--but not too black as the despicable Sen. Harry Reid would later say. Sadly, many Americans chose to ignore his past and elect him strictly on his form and style. He probably wishes now that they hadn't elected him.

Question: What is the future of Islam? Islam seems destined to take over the world. Can it be stopped?

Answer: Indeed, Islam looks unstoppable right now, doesn't it? Islamists have all but driven Christianity out of the Middle East, Northern Africa, many parts of Asia and are driving what's left of Christianity out of Western Europe. In North America, Islam has become the fastest growing religion while Christianity is dying a slow, methodical death. And so, the future sure looks bright for Islam. And yet, we can find no evidence for Islam anywhere in end-time biblical prophecy. Instead, we find that a mutant form of Christianity is going to rise in the last days in conjunction with an explosion of supernatural events. (Matthew 24, 2 Thessalonians 2, Revelation 13) What will be mutant about it? It will purport to be Christian, but it will be demonically inspired. It will be spread by supernatural phenomena that science won't be able to explain away. And we're talking about something so huge and unexpected that it will catch the world off guard. As for Islam, I believe that its days are numbered. Islam is a violent religion at its core that can't be reformed without changing the Koran. And that will never happen. What will happen is that the world nations will finally get fed up with all the fatwas, jihads, stonings, amputations, assassinations, kidnappings and terrorism and finally band together and say enough is enough.

Question: Are Russia and China really the two powerful end time kingdoms mentioned in Daniel 11?

Answer: Well, who are two of the fastest growing nations right now in the world? Is that a coincidence? Russia was supposed to be done forever after the collapse of the old Soviet Union 20 years ago. And now look at what's happening. And almost overnight, China has transformed itself from a primitive society into an economic powerhouse that's about to replace the United States as the world's largest economy. These are two nations that need each other a lot more than they need America. The Chinese have a lot of money that the Russians need and the Russians have a lot of energy that the Chinese need to fuel their growing industrial base. Obama babbles about slapping economic sanctions against Russia for its muscle into Crimea and the Ukraine. But really, those sanctions will not only have a minimal effect against Russia, they'll backfire when the Russians eventually dump their investments in the U.S. dollar. And with America's colossal $17 trillion debt, this is probably a good time to begin dumping those dollars.

Marxism and Christianity

An unholy combination

Pope Francis, who's quickly becoming as popular as the late Pope John Paul II, uttered some very prophetic words recently when he called upon world nations to redistribute their wealth to the poor.

Here's what he said: "Today, in concrete terms, an awareness of the dignity of each of our brothers and sisters whose life is sacred and inviolable from conception to natural death must lead us to share with complete freedom the goods which God’s providence has placed in our hands, material goods but also intellectual and spiritual ones, and to give back generously and lavishly whatever we may have earlier unjustly refused to others".
http://en.radiovaticana.va/news/2014/05/09/pope_to_un:_resist_the_economy_of_exclusion

The Pope then pointed to a conversation that Jesus Christ had with a wealthy tax collector named Zacchaeus (Luke 19:1-10) to support his argument that world nations have a moral responsibility to send some of their wealth to an international governing body that would be created in order to redistribute it to the poor.

What was the exchange between Christ and the tax collector all about? Zacchaeus pledged to donate half of his possessions to the poor and pay back all those who he had cheated out of money.

That was a noble pledge that Christ commended him for. In those ancient times, the tax collectors who worked for the Roman government often demanded more money from the folks than they were supposed to.

And after they handed over the revenue required by the Roman Treasury, they pocketed the rest. There was little to no accountability over these men. Sort of like today with President Barack Obama's gestapo IRS. Needless to say, tax collectors were extremely unpopular during the time of Christ.

But what's wrong with the Pope's desire to see an international agency created that would redistribute wealth to the poor? What's wrong with that idea? It isn't biblical--that's what's wrong with it.

Zacchaeus made his own decision to share his wealth with the poor. He wasn't asked to by Christ or forced to via confiscatory taxes levied by his government. His was a personal decision.

And that's a decision that should be made by individuals rather than by governments. In fact, nowhere does the Bible record a single scripture verse that orders secular governments to forcefully take money from people and redistribute it to others.

That's not Christianity--that's Marxism. And that's what Pope Francis is advocating. Though he claims to be a Christian, he often acts and speaks like a Marxist who embraces socialism while demonizing capitalism.

He loves to blame capitalism for wealth disparities between the rich and the poor. And he calls for the creation of a powerful international body to eliminate those disparities via wealth redistribution.

You've often heard the Pope's line of reasoning--that rich capitalists steal from the poor (like Zacchaeus did) and then refuse to give it back to them. That's pure bull. If you want to see who's really stealing your money, then examine the deductions on your pay-stub when you receive your next paycheck. (If you're one of those who are fortunate to still have a job)

What's prophetic about the Pope's desire to see an international body created that would control the global monetary system? He wants a world government. And that's coming. And the Roman Catholic Church is going to play a significant role in that global government along with the rise of the dreaded Antichrist. (Revelation 17)

And so, the next time you hear Pope Francis talk about money, capitalism, disparities between rich and poor, and his call for the redistribution of wealth, understand where he's coming from.

And then understand where his church and ultimately the entire world is headed toward.

Real Islam and Imaginary Islam

Boko Haram

Perhaps even the glitterati of Hollywood have finally come to realize what much of the rest of the world has known for centuries--that Islam is anything but a religion of peace.

A group of Hollywood celebrities recently decided to boycott the ritzy Beverly Hills Hotel because it's owned by the Sultan of Brunei (Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah) whose native country has implemented Sharia Law criminal codes that mandate beatings, severing of limbs and stoning to death for adultery and homosexuality.

In reality, the boycott has less to do with Islam and more to do with its condemnation of such offenses as adultery and homosexuality.

More to the point: Adultery and homosexuality are widely practiced among Hollywood elites, so the tinsel crowd has likely chosen to vent its wrath against the sultan and his nation for condemning those practices rather than against Brunei's state religion that mandates capital punishment and dismemberment for sexual transgressions.

However, the Hollywood glitterati actually found the courage to demand that Brunei renounce Islam before they renounce their boycott of the Beverly Hills Hotel.

But anyone who understands Islam understands that asking a predominantly Muslim nation such as Brunei to renounce Islam would be akin to asking Israel to renounce Judaism in favor of Roman Catholicism.  It simply isn't going to happen.

Thus, Islam is the real problem for the Hollywood elites rather than Sharia Law. Unfortunately, the elites either refuse to recognize that problem, or they're too cowardly to admit it.

Those who are bold enough to admit it such as Dutch politician Geert Wilders, author Salman Rushdie or Ayann Hirsi Ali are either threatened with death (Wilders, Rushdie) or are publicly humiliated (Ali) by left-wing fascists who have become puppets for Islamofascists and their propaganda outlets such as CAIR.

While the boycott has attracted some attention, another incident recently occurred that gained the world's attention. That incident involved 200 Nigerian school girls that were kidnapped by a group named Boko Haram.

Boko Haram is an Islamic terror group that believes it has been annointed by Allah to wage war against Christianity and all non-Muslims.

Boko Haram has long been known as an Islamic terrorist organization, although the Obama administration has refused to recognize the group that way. As for its worldview: Its followers are said to be influenced by the Koranic phrase which says: "Anyone who is not governed by what Allah has revealed is among the transgressors". Boko Haram promotes a version of Islam which makes it "haram", or forbidden, for Muslims to take part in any political or social activity associated with Western society. This includes voting in elections, wearing shirts and trousers or receiving a secular education.
http://www.bbc.com/news/world-africa-13809501

Why did the group kidnap the girls? Because according to Islam, women are considered as nothing more than chattel to be used by men for servitude and sex. As such, the western world's insistence that women have the same rights as men infuriates the Islamic world that considers women to be inferior. If you don't believe that, then ask Ayann Hirsi Ali.
http://prophecyreviewtoday.blogspot.com/2014/04/reform-islam-not-likely.html

That's what Islam is really all about. It's not a peaceful religion as many of its western propagandists want us to believe.

And yet we're told that Christianity wages war against women and gays. While the Bible condemns homosexuality and adultery as sins, it doesn't order Christians to go out and dismember or murder those who practice those lifestyles.

Rather, it commands Christians to go out and share the love of Christ and the Gospel with those who practice those lifestyles. Islam, however, commands its adherents to administer the sword of Allah against those who practice those lifestyles.

That's real Islam. Certainly, the majority of the world's two billion Muslims don't practice real Islam because they're cultural Muslims.

However, those who do practice real Islam do so in obedience to their religion, their prophet and the Koran. And that's a reality that can't be denied.

Israel at 66

Celebrating Israel's independence in Jerusalem

Though Israel was created by God about 3,200 years ago to be the home of the Jewish people, not everyone agrees.

Certainly, much of the world refuses to recognize the Jewish nation, preferring instead to embrace the propaganda promoted by the Islamic world that Israel is a rogue state that--with the aid of the United Nations--unlawfully occupied land in 1948 that belonged to the Palestinians.

Anyone who possesses even a rudimentary knowledge of history knows that's a lie. There never ever existed a Palestinian people, nation or tribe.

The Palestinians are a mixture of Arabs, Egyptians, Assyrians, Persians and Bedouins that came into that land during the 1,800 years that Israel ceased to exist when Roman Emperor Hadrian renamed that nation Syria Palestinia in 130 A.D. after he put down the Bar Kochba rebellion.

The name Palestine is derived from ancient Philistia (Philistine) that was a maritime nation of non-Semitic light-skinned people that existed about 3,500 years ago. The ancient Philistines occupied part of what now belongs to the eastern portion of Israel along the Mediterranean Sea.

The fact that the ancient Philistines were non-Semitic means that those who identify themselves today as Palestinians are not their descendants. Even Yasser Arafat, the infamous terrorist and founder of the Palestinian Liberation Organization (PLO) was an Egyptian who was born in Cairo in 1929.

Why then, is Israel so reviled throughout the world today? And why is anti-Semitism making such a strong comeback in nations that pledged to never allow that to happen again after the nightmare of Hitler's Holocaust?

Why? Because the Jewish people and the nation of Israel remain under an ancient curse. Where did that curse come from, and who pronounced it?

The Lord Himself pronounced it in the ancient times after the Jewish nation had repeatedly broken His laws, violated his covenants and rebuffed His prophets that He sent to warn the nation to repent.

Finally, the Lord announced His verdict through the ancient prophet Jeremiah (600 B.C.): "I will make them (the Jews) abhorrent and an offense to all the kingdoms of the earth, a reproach and a byword, an object of ridicule and cursing, wherever I banish them. I will send the sword, famine and plague against them until they are destroyed from the land I gave to them and their fathers." (Jeremiah 24:9-10)

Certainly, that curse has manifested numerous times throughout the centuries. Wherever the Jews have gone in the world, trouble has followed closely behind. Without a doubt, they have been reviled like no other group in history.

Even today, the Jews are despised throughout the world, even by many who call themselves Christians, which is also a tragedy. The Lord, whose name they proclaim also happens to be Jewish and He is the Jewish Messiah. Unfortunately, many professing Christians seem to have forgotten that fact.

Nevertheless, the curse will soon come to an end. The reemergence of Israel as a sovereign nation once again in 1948 began the fulfillment of God's promises to restore the Jewish nation. Though some Christian churches teach an unbiblical heresy called Replacement Theology--that the church has replaced Israel as God's chosen people--nothing could be further from the truth.

Consider God's prophetic words spoken through the ancient prophet Amos concerning Israel's restoration: "I will bring back my exiled people Israel; they will rebuild the ruined cities and live in them. They will plant vineyards and drink their wine; they will make gardens and eat their fruit. I will plant Israel in their own land, never again to be uprooted from the land I have given them." (Amos 9:14-15)

That prophecy saw its fulfillment in 1948 when Israel was restored once again as a sovereign nation. Though the nations of the world were chagrined, God had fulfilled his promise. And when Jesus Christ returns to Jerusalem to establish His kingdom on earth, the Jews will worship Him as their Messiah (Zechariah 12-13) and the curse will be broken forever.

Happy Independence Day Israel!

America's Coming Doom

Barack Obama and Chris Stevens

Despite the popular belief of many people who consider themselves to be Christians, God does indeed judge individual and corporate wickedness in these modern times.

When Hurricane Katrina came roaring into New Orleans nine years ago, that super storm came just days after President George W. Bush successfully managed to coerce Israel into turning over Gaza to their sworn enemies the Palestinians.

For those with even shorter memories, you might want to recall how badly America's east coast has been hit by violent weather in recent years from Hurricane Sandy (2012) to monster blizzards and devastating ice storms.

Monster F4 tornadoes have struck throughout the south and Midwest creating widespread destruction and damage while huge wildfires have destroyed significant amounts of foliage and vegetation across the United States from the east to the west coasts.

Skeptics will argue that such events have always occurred since the dawn of history. Others will claim that these events are being caused by Climate Change-Global Warming even though there's no conclusive evidence to support that hypothesis.

However, I believe that these events are directly related to God's judgment upon the United States for its increasing rebellion against His laws; its increasing persecution of Christians and the nation of Israel. Throughout the Bible, God has repeatedly promised to defend the nation of Israel against those who would imperil the Jewish nation.

To the patriarch Abraham, the Lord made this solemn promise: "I will make you into a great nation and I will bless you; I will make your name great, and you will be a great blessing. I will bless those who bless you, and whoever curses you I will curse; and all peoples on earth will be blessed through you." (Genesis 12:2-3)

And so, when U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry recently warned Israel that the Jewish nation risked becoming an apartheid state unless it negotiated a two-state solution with its sworn enemies the Palestinians, he effectively cursed that country.

How, you ask? By demanding that Israel either turn over land given to her by God to her enemies that have sworn to destroy her, or risk being severely punished and ostracized by the nations of the world. That wasn't a warning--that was a threat.

Kerry's ignorant remarks weren't his own. They're the remarks of the corrupt, arrogant and repugnant Obama administration that truly believes that it can do whatever it wants, irregardless of the law. However, this administration will soon learn that it isn't above God's law, no matter how much the members of this illegitimate administration refuse to even recognize the existence of a Holy God.

The judgment may have already begun. The recent emails obtained by Judicial Watch that revealed the cruel hoax perpetrated upon the nation by the White House that tried to affix blame on an amateur internet video for the September 11, 2012 terrorist attack on the American consulate in Benghazi, Libya, are astonishing for their duplicity and arrogance.

The email revelations are stunning not merely because they're fallacious but because they display a complete disregard for the lives of those four Americans (Ambassador Chris Stevens, Sean Smith, Glen Doherty, Tyrone Woods) who perished because they were betrayed by the leaders they served.

And those leaders are President Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton who was the U.S. Secretary of State at that time.

I want you to remember two more things: (1) The shocking brazenness of both Obama and Clinton who blasphemed the corpses of those four Americans after they arrived at Andrews Air Force Base a few days after the attack, and (2) the NSA spying scandal that was leaked to the world media by Edward Snowden.

(1) Both Obama and Clinton chose to politicize the return of those four Americans by perpetuating the myth of the internet video. And right in front of the grieving family members of those dead Americans. How tragic and pathetic.

(2) What does the NSA scandal have to do with the Benghazi attack? Nothing directly. But consider this: How can a nation that possesses such a sophisticated espionage apparatus as the NSA (National Security Administration); that's able to spy on heads of state, pry into smart-phones and personal email accounts not have known that the Benghazi attack was coming? Especially when you consider that the U.S. has spies and informants all over the Middle East. That defies logic.

I believe that the Obama administration knew that Benghazi was coming. And the administration chose to ignore the attack for political reasons because it contradicted Obama's false narrative that he had slain the monster of Al Qaeda. As we now know, Al Qaeda is alive and well.

But Stevens, Smith, Doherty and Woods aren't. They're dead. And their blood cries out to God from their graves.

And of this you can be sure: God hears that cry and he will respond. And when he does, then look out America.

Why blame America instead of Obama, Clinton et al? Because America chose to reelect Obama in 2012. Even after enough facts already existed about Benghazi (and numerous other scandals) to pin the blame squarely on Obama and his administration.

And so, remember one more thing America: You always reap what you sow.

The Folly of Ballot Box Evangelism

No way to spread the Gospel

When I tell professing Christians that politics isn't the venue for the Lord's work, I'm often ridiculed as unpatriotic and anti-Christian.

If the apostle Paul lived in America today, he'd be criticized as well because he taught that the Great Commission of Jesus Christ (Matthew 28 16:20) wasn't to be promoted through politics or through any human endeavor. Here's what Paul wrote: "No one serving as a soldier gets entangled in civilian affairs, but rather tries to please his commanding officer. Similarly, anyone who competes as an athlete does not receive the victor’s crown except by competing according to the rules." (2 Timothy 2:4-5)

When the Christian church in America tries to advance the Gospel through the ballot box, it doesn't compete according to God's rules. Too many Christians believe that if they can just elect the right political candidates, then the rising tide of violence and moral decay in America will begin to recede.

But that's a wrong and dangerous assumption. Why? Because politicians these days too often are a mirror reflection of the debased culture they come from.

To wit; corrupt political leaders such as Barack Obama, Harry Reid, Hillary Clinton, Nancy Pelosi etc. are the products of a godless, post-Christian generation that's turned its back on God and thumbed its nose at His laws and commandments.

These folks are either atheists or agnostics who masquerade as Christians for political purposes. But they aren't Christians. And they never were.

And there are millions of people just like them who see no evil in lying or deceiving folks to get whatever they want. They are truly a generation that doesn't fear God and believes that the end always justifies the means.

You can't transform that kind of moral corruption at the ballot box because too much of America has become morally rotten to the core. If you want to elect upstanding moral leaders who fear God and shun evil, then you've got to change the culture.

And the Christian church lost that culture a long time ago. How long ago? The Christian church in America began to lose the culture back in the 19th century when it corporately decided that the Bible was no longer sacred and inspired by God.

Instead, the church turned to the godless theories of Darwin, Marx, Engels, Robespierre, Rousseau, Freud, Jung, Maslow etc. to empty the cross of its power and lower Christianity to just another cultural religious expression.

Millions of children throughout the western world were indoctrinated into Darwin's atheistic theory of evolution that claimed that life originated in a prehistoric mud pond through random chemical processes.

With God relegated to myth status, those children grew into adults who passed that same poison on to their children. And when those children became adults, they repeated the process.

As a result, many people who claim to be Christians today do so merely for cultural reasons. Not all Christians--but too many of them. And that sad fact is born out in their worldview that is virtually indistinguishable from secular folks.

Certainly, it's taken along time for America to slide into the moral abyss. Back in 1980, many Americans recognized the danger in the feckless, Marxist policies of President Jimmy Carter, and they voted him out of office after only one term.

They replaced him with a conservative Christian named Ronald Reagan who undid the damage to their nation that Carter had inflicted upon America during the four previous years.

But that was 1980. In 2012, America chose to reelect a far worse president in Barack Obama. That proved beyond a shadow of a doubt that America is no longer a nation influenced by Judeo-Christian mores.

America has become a pagan nation that celebrates murder, violence and depravity. And Americans love to elect leaders who reflect that moral bankruptcy.

And so American Christians: If you want to recapture the culture, then turn off your TV's; get off of your couches; put away your smart-phones; get out of your churches and start contending for the faith once again (Jude 1:3).

And contending for the faith begins on the street and not at the ballot box.
