The Russian Beast

Many folks believe that the coming world government will either feature a global caliphate ruled by an Islamic Antichrist or it will be a secular government ruled by a powerful atheist who will outlaw all religious expression on earth.

While both views have become popular in recent years, neither one is correct. The Bible clearly reveals that the coming world government is going to be a partnership of politics and religion.

However, the religious half of this partnership won't be Islamic--it will feature a perverted form of Christianity. This form of Christianity will be based upon supernatural events rather than biblical truth. And the leader of this world religion will be the Antichrist himself who will be a grand counterfeit of Jesus Christ.

How do we know this? The apostle John, who recorded the Bible's final book the Revelation, in about 90 A.D., witnessed an incredible vision of a garishly dressed prostitute riding high atop a scarlet beast that featured seven heads and 10 horns.

Here's what John saw and recorded: "Then the angel carried me away in the Spirit into a wilderness. There I saw a woman sitting on a scarlet beast that was covered with blasphemous names and had seven heads and 10 horns. The woman was dressed in purple and scarlet and was glittering with precious stones and pearls. She held a golden cup in her hands, filled with abominable things and the filth of her adulteries. The name written on her forehead was a mystery: Mystery Babylon The Great, The Mother of Prostitutes and of The Abominations of The Earth." (Revelation 17:3-5)

What does the scarlet beast represent? It represents the coming world government that will feature 10 nation groups that will be ruled by seven kings.

But what is the identity of the harlot? She represents the world religion that will become partners with this one-world government. What religion is this? This will be a counterfeit form of Christianity that will be ruled by the Roman Catholic Church. But how can we be sure of that?

According to John's vision, the city that this religion is located in is surrounded by seven hills.(Revelation 17:9) Only two cities on earth are surrounded by seven hills: Rio de Janeiro that's located in Brazil and Rome that's located in Italy. The Vatican is located in Rome and is the world headquarters of the Roman Catholic Church. When John recorded the Revelation, the Catholic Church didn't exist and wouldn't come into existence until the 4th Century A.D.

And here's where things get interesting. Biblical prophecy reveals that the coming dreaded Antichrist will be both a political and religious figure and he will eventually come from Russia. But isn't the Catholic Church virtually nonexistent in Russia? Yes. Then how can the Antichrist come from Russia?

In order for the Antichrist to rise in Russia, one key event needs to happen; the reunification of the Roman Catholic and Orthodox churches that separated about 1,000 years ago when the eastern churches rejected the Roman papacy and chose the Bishop of Constantinople as their spiritual leader.

Since that time, the two churches have had a strained relationship. But that's changing. The two churches are getting close to reestablishing a common communion.

Last year (November, 2014) Pope Francis and Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew met in Istanbul, Turkey to discuss that reunification. Speaking from the Church of St. George, the Pope said this: "I want to assure each one of you here that, to reach the desired goal of full unity, the Catholic Church does not intend to impose any conditions except that of the shared profession of faith...The one thing that the Catholic Church desires, and I seek as Bishop of Rome, the church which presides in charity is communion with the Orthodox churches." Francis and Bartholomew issue resounding, historic calls for church reunification | National Catholic Reporter

Bartholomew emphatically stated that the reunion is inevitable and is going to take place. He also stated that once it takes place it will be irreversible: "We no longer have the luxury of isolated action. The modern persecutors of Christians do not ask which church their victims belong to. The unity that concerns us is regrettably occurring in certain regions of the world through the blood of martyrdom."

Then Francis revealed the ultimate goal of this coming reunion: "As Christians we are called together to eliminate the globalization of indifference which seems to reign supreme, while building a new civilization of love and solidarity."

When the two churches finally reunite, then the prophetic bridge will be built between Rome and Moscow, and the door will be opened for the eventual appearance of the Antichrist.

But how do we know that the Antichrist is going to come from Russia? Biblical prophecy reveals that a powerful nation will rise in the end times that the Bible describes as a northern kingdom. (Daniel 11) That nation will be ruled by a leader who will eventually assume control of a global government. How can we determine that this kingdom is Russia?

Because the Bible always places Israel at the center of its geographical map. Therefore, a northern kingdom would be located directly north of the Jewish nation. And Russia is located directly north of Israel.

Furthermore, the prophet Ezekiel, who lived during the 6th Century B.C., revealed that this kingdom he named as Gog, would invade Israel at some point in the very last days. (Ezekiel 38-39) Gog was a name for the ancient tribe of Rosh that many modern Russians are descended from.

Though Russia was officially an atheist nation for 70 years under the old Soviet Union, she is now heavily influenced by the Orthodox Church. In fact, Russian President Vladimir Putin is an Orthodox Christian who believes that he has a responsibility to establish a new Russian empire and impose Orthodox Christianity upon the world.

But how will the Catholic Church factor into this equation? When the Catholic-Orthodox reunion takes place, the Orthodox Church will spread its brand of Christianity throughout Eastern Europe while the Catholic Church will spread it throughout Western Europe. And this revival will spread via counterfeit signs, wonders and miracles.

The apostle Paul revealed this: "The coming of the lawless one (Antichrist) will be in accordance with the work of Satan displayed in all kinds of counterfeit miracles, signs and wonders, and in every sort of evil that deceives those who are perishing." (2 Thessalonians 2:9-10)

Ironically, Russia will lead this counterfeit global revival that will unveil the Antichrist at some point in the future. The former head of world atheism is now a "Christian" nation, thanks to the influence of the Orthodox Church. And ironically, Western Europe, once considered a bastion of Christianity, has traded places with Russia.

Putin said this last year during a speech to the Russian Duma: "Many Euro-Atlantic countries have moved away from their roots, including Christian values. Policies are being pursued that place on the same level a multi-child family and same-sex partnership, a faith in God and a belief in Satan. Putin added that "social and religious conservatism is the only way to prevent the world from slipping into chaotic darkness." And Patriarch Kirill I, the leader of the Russian Orthodox Church, who's been a harsh critic of the West's declining moral values, said this: "The general direction of the Western political elite bears, without a doubt, an anti-Christian and anti-religious character. We have been though an epoch of atheism, and we know what it is to live without God."

However, the "God" that the coming counterfeit Christian world religion will present to the world will not be the true God of the Bible. Rather, he will be a counterfeit who will be Satan. And his "messiah" who will appear and convince the world that he's Jesus Christ will be the Antichrist.

And this is how John described him: "The dragon (Satan) gave the beast his power and his throne and great authority." (Revelation 13:2) John continued: "And he was given authority over every tribe, people, language and nation. All inhabitants of the earth will worship the beast--all whose names have not been written in the Lamb's (Jesus Christ) Book of Life, the Lamb who was slain from the creation of the world." (Revelation 13:7-8)

When will the Antichrist appear? He will appear several years after a one-world government has been established. Evidently, even a world government will not solve the sectarian violence that has plagued the world since the beginning of time. And so, the Antichrist will appear as a man of peace who will perform powerful miracles to indeed deceive even the elect, or true Christians.

And after he appears in Russia, he will establish his throne in Rome. The world will believe that Christ has returned and peace has finally been achieved. However, the opposite will occur. The apostle Paul warned: "While people are saying 'Peace and Safety,' destruction will come on them suddenly, as labor pains on a pregnant woman, and they will not escape." (1 Thessalonians 5:3)

The Antichrist isn't some mythical character. He's real and he's coming. And he won't be Islamic or an American president. He'll come from Russia. But will anyone be paying attention?

As the Insanity Increases

From faith in God to faith in psychology

Mental illness is a very serious problem that affects hundreds of millions of folks throughout the world. For many centuries, those who possessed a Judeo-Christian worldview trusted God to help them overcome their emotional problems brought on by mental illness.

But since the 19th century, more and more people have been turning to other sources to help them cope and ultimately deliver them from emotional afflictions and stresses. Not coincidentally, the Christian church began to lose its influence in the world about the same time because it abandoned the Bible in favor of empty, humanistic ideologies.

One of those ideologies was humanistic psychology that grew from the ashes of the decaying church. With God's word deemed archaic and irrelevant, the world needed a new source of spiritual nourishment to define the human existence and deliver folks from the misery of emotional anguish.

While the Bible clearly identified sin as the root cause of all our emotional problems, psychology denied that and placed the blame for mankind's emotional woes on neuroses and psychoses caused by painful memories that were suppressed and stored in the so-called unconscious section of the mind.

According to the worldview of humanistic psychology, you are today what you experienced earlier in life, going all the way back to your mother's womb. And so, those who grow up to become violent adults must have been beaten by a violent parent or parents in their childhood who destroyed their self-esteem. Those who become pedophiles in adulthood must have been sexually abused as children by adults. And so it goes.

Certainly, there's a correlation between dysfunctional families and people who come from those families. However, many people overcome bad parents or childhood bullying and lead successful lives. While mass-murderer John Gacy's evil was attributed to his father who was a violent drunk, Gacy had a sister who didn't become a sadistic murderer when she became an adult.

Though Ted Bundy was a sadistic mass-murderer, he refused to blame his parents for his behavior and took full responsibility for his actions. Jeffrey Dahmer was yet another sadistic murderer who had siblings who didn't turn out like him. Thus, evil is the choice of the individual rather than the consequence of a bad childhood. If psychology's theories are correct, then everyone who comes from a dysfunctional family should have serious emotional problems. But many folks overcome.

However, it's becoming harder to overcome emotional problems these days when many people are told to place their hope and trust in psychotropic drugs rather than in God through His Son Jesus Christ who overcame the world 2,000 years ago on the cross. Andreas Lubitz, the pilot who purposely crashed a Germanwings jetliner into the French Alps, killing himself and 150 people on the plane, was reportedly taking psychotropics for depression and a psychosomatic illness.

Lubitz was obviously a brilliant but troubled young man who either didn't believe in God or didn't believe that God had the power to deliver him from his problems. And so, he turned to a psychiatrist who in turn placed him on mood-altering drugs.

The problems with psychotropics have been well-documented. While they provide relief to some people, they not only don't help others, but they can cause dangerous mood swings that can lead to erratic, violent behavior including murder and suicide.

According to his associates, Lubitz complained of vision problems that he feared could end his flying career. It's not known what type of psychotropics Lubitz was taking, but drugs such as Tricyclic antidepressants can cause vision problems. Ironically, Lubitz's associates claim the young pilot was depressed about his vision. If so, then the pilot's vision problem and resulting depression may have been caused by the very medication that was supposed to make him feel better.

Psychology has become a counterfeit faith for millions of people that's replaced true faith in God. Like all false religions, psychology ultimately fails to deliver on its lofty promises to make people emotionally healthy and happy. The true antidote for depression and mental anguish is repentance from sin and a relationship with God through His Son Jesus Christ.

That comes by faith in God rather than by faith in the failed theories of humanistic psychology, psychiatric therapy or psychotropic drugs. As the apostle Peter stated 2,000 years ago: "Cast all your anxiety on him (Jesus Christ) because he cares for you." (1 Peter 5:7) Amen.

A Passover Lamb named Jesus

Most people believe the Passover is a Jewish holiday that's celebrated annually in the early springtime. For many Jews, Passover is merely an historical event they celebrate to remember their ancestors who God miraculously freed from slavery in ancient Egypt.

While the Lord indeed liberated the Jews from the heavy hand of Pharoah who was the tyrannical ruler of Egypt, the Passover was meant to be remembered for much more than just an historical event. It was meant to convey God's free gift of salvation to the world through His Son Jesus Christ.

First of all, what is the Passover? The Passover literally means what it says: To pass-over. The ancient Jews were commanded by God to sacrifice one-year-old male lambs without defect, and to sprinkle some of the blood from the animals above and along the sides of their door-frames. Thus, when the angel of Lord came into Egypt at night during this event, he passed-over the homes that had the blood on the doors.

However, he entered the homes without the blood on the doors and he struck down the firstborn in those households. And so, the ancient Jews who obeyed the Lord by sprinkling the blood of the lambs on their door-frames were spared the death of their firstborn.

Does that sound familiar? It should. That was a foreshadow of the Lamb of God Jesus Christ, who shed His blood on the cross to cleanse us from our sins and bless us with eternal life. As John the Baptist said: "Behold! The Lamb of God who takes away the sins of the world." (John 1:29)

All those who confess Christ as their Lord and Savior are protected by His blood and they will not suffer the damnation of eternal death in hell when they die.

There's more to the Passover story. The Jews were commanded to eat unleavened bread for seven days after the Passover. This is known as the Feast of Unleavened Bread. What's the significance of the unleavened bread?

The unleavened bread resembles a large cracker that's made without yeast. Yeast makes bread rise and the symbolism here can't be ignored. The unleavened bread symbolizes God's pure law. When man adds to that law, it causes it to expand into something it was never intended to be.

For example, throughout the centuries the rabbis have added 600 of their own laws into God's Law, making it so enormous that no one could possibly remember all those laws, much less keep them. By adding to God's Law, the rabbis violated God's edict not to add or subtract to the law. (Deuteronomy 4:2, Deuteronomy 12:32)

When Christ warned his disciples: "Be on your guard against the yeast of the Pharisees and Sadducees", (Matthew 16:6) He was speaking of their manufactured laws and false doctrines that they frequently injected into God's Law to pervert it and expand it well beyond its intended meaning.

Christ blasted Israel's corrupt religious leaders with this: "The teachers of the law and the Pharisees sit in Moses’ seat. So you must be careful to do everything they tell you. But do not do what they do, for they do not practice what they preach. They tie up heavy, cumbersome loads and put them on other people’s shoulders, but they themselves are not willing to lift a finger to move them." (Matthew 23:2-4)

There's certainly more to the Passover story than the paschal lamb and unleavened bread. The Jews were commanded to roast the lamb over fire and to eat it before the dawn of the following day. They also ate bitter herbs and were told to be ready to leave Egypt by dawn.

The roasted lamb represents Christ's body sacrificed on the cross for the sins of the world. That symbolizes those who receive God's Holy Spirit in them as the guarantee of eternal life through their genuine confession of Christ as Lord and Savior. The bitter herbs represent the pain of persecution that everyone who belongs to Christ will experience in this world.

And the Jews were commanded by God not to leave any leftovers for the following day after the Passover. This teaches us that when Christ returns to judge the world and establish His kingdom on earth, there will be no more chances to get right with God. The old order of things will have passed away forever. 

That's why it's important for everyone to accept God's Passover Lamb Jesus Christ right now before He returns. If you die outside of Christ, you will never get another chance. You'll be doomed forever. If you're around when He returns, it'll be too late. 

As the apostle Paul stated: "Get rid of the old yeast, so that you may be a new unleavened batch—as you really are. For Christ, our Passover lamb, has been sacrificed." (1 Corinthians 5:7)

Con Men, Clowns and Deceivers

William Branham

No, the accompanying picture hasn't been photoshopped. That halo of fire above William Branham's head actually appeared while the celebrity evangelist delivered a sermon in the Houston Coliseum during the 1950s. While many people interpreted Branham's ring of fire to be a sign from above--indeed it was--but it came from an unlikely source.

What source was that? That source came from a fluorescent floodlight that shone from a ceiling high above the evangelists's head. Nevertheless, Branham's devotees believed the halo to be a miraculous sign from above and they've promoted the heavenly halo myth for many years. 

However, there are supernatural signs that come from the heavens that don't have a fluorescent source. But not all of them are good. Let the apostle Paul explain: "For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. (Ephesians 6:12)

Branham's been dead for 50 years, and considering some of the bizarre teachings he delivered from the pulpit during his lifetime, he's probably gotten used to a different ring of fire since he departed the land of the living. 

Whoa! That's no way to talk about a brother in Christ, is it? Well, consider the source that in this case was Branham who wasn't exactly a bible-thumper in the historical sense that dogmatic preachers have sometimes been described. Branham was anything but a bible-scholar, but that didn't hinder his immense popularity with his legion of followers who believed him to be a genuine prophet. 

Chad Creamer is a man who followed Branham closely throughout his life, so let him explain what he learned about the popular evangelist: "Branham claimed to have an angel present with him throughout his life. I have always asked people what the name of this entity was, and to this day, nobody can give an answer. The reason for this is because Branham never disclosed the name of this angel. The angel apparently tutored him on numerous things, explained his visions to him, and on some occasions, told him certain things were THUS SAITH THE LORD. He even received THREE HIGH WORDS from this entity. Branham claimed these words were unknown to any living man but himself. He would use these words to cast out evil spirits and cure diseases." apostasywatch.com

Branham rejected the Trinity and called it a doctrine of the devil. He also claimed that he was visited by the seven angels mentioned in the Book of Revelation who possess the seal judgments. (Revelation 6-8) And he claimed that the Rapture was to occur in 1977. Why do so many people continue to embrace him as an anointed servant of God? Because they follow an experiential form of Christianity that's based upon sensual experience rather than biblical truth.

And that's extremely dangerous because without the Bible, people have no way to determine whether something's from God or from the demonic. Do miracles occur in the modern church? Yes they do. But not all of them come from God. Rather, some of them are demonic.

But how can we tell? By testing them according to the scriptures. If a miracle gives glory to anyone other than God or Christ--for example, to Mary or a Roman Catholic saint--then its source is demonic no matter how powerful the event is. And counterfeit miracles often accompany unbiblical teachings.

Paul issued a prophetic caveat that in the end times, demonic doctrines would invade the church under the guise of Christian teaching. Here's what he said: "The (Holy) Spirit clearly says that in later times, some will abandon the faith and follow deceiving spirits and things taught by demons." (1 Timothy 4:1) 

But why is this happening? Paul gave us the answer in his second letter to fellow apostle Timothy: "For the time will come when men will not put up with sound doctrine. Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear. They will turn their ears away from the truth and turn aside to myths." (2 Timothy 4:3-4)

William Branham was one of those false teachers that many folks gathered around. He tickled their ears with false prophecies and the doctrines of devils. He was a con artist who told people what they wanted to hear rather than what they needed to hear. In exchange for his heretical whoppers, his followers rewarded Branham by feeding his enormous ego with their adulation. That sounds like idolatry, doesn't it?

Certainly, Branham wasn't the only one. There's an army of false teachers and phony prophets out there who make their living by deceiving gullible people who are desperate for hope and meaning in their lives.

For example, there's Morris Cerullo who travels around the world in his private Gulfstream jet. He's worth about $100 million. What's wrong with that? He's gained his fortune by vacuuming the wallets of his deluded followers who believe he's an anointed prophet. Some folks may still remember the healing crusade Cerullo held in Africa several years ago when he brought a desperately ill girl on stage before thousands of people and declared her healed. The girl died a few days later.

That's what's wrong with that. If you're a true prophet anointed by God, you teach sound biblical doctrine, and when you declare someone healed by God, they don't die a few days after you've packed your gear and flown off in your private jet to the next stop to fleece the gullible sheep.

Oh well. Phony halos and phony healings. They come from con men and clowns who'll discover there's nothing phony about hell, because that's the place where they'll be preaching when the Gulfstream finally burns its last drop of jet fuel, paid for by your generous donations.

America's Antichrist

In his first of three letters, the apostle John wrote this: "Dear children, this is the last hour; and as you have heard that the Antichrist is coming, even now many antichrists have come. This is how we know it is the last hour. They went out from us, but they did not really belong to us. For if they had belonged to us, they would have remained with us; but their going showed that none of them belonged to us." (1 John 2:18-19)

Though many folks correctly define the Antichrist as an extremely wicked man, they fail to realize that he'll be a master deceiver who will fool the world through his craftiness and cunning. He'll appear to the world as a man of peace who'll solve complex problems and settle disputes between nations.

He'll say all the right things and even perform miracles that will convince many that he's divine. But the facade will eventually come off and the world will find out who this man really is. However, by then it will be too late. If you have the misfortune to be around when he appears, you'll either be forced to obey him or you'll be gone. And when I say gone, I think you know what I mean.

Barack Obama isn't the Antichrist, although a lot of people believe that he is. Rather he's an antichrist who's one of many who've plagued the world throughout history. What is an antichrist? He's a con artist and a dangerous phony who passes himself off as someone he isn't. Though con artists aren't difficult to spot, they are if you ignore their resumes and allow yourself to be seduced by their charm.

Remember Adolf Hitler? He laid out his virulent anti-Semitism and bizarre worldview in Mein Kampf that was published in 1925. That was eight years before he was elected as the Chancellor of Germany in 1933. The German people had eight years to find out what a dangerous man Hitler was, and yet they ignored his past while succumbing to his hypnotic, messianic rhetoric.

Obama's sordid past was well known long before he ran for the presidency in 2007. He was a committed Marxist who was the protege of a communist named Frank Marshall Davis; he associated with terrorists such as Bill Ayers and Bernadine Dohrn; his political career was boosted by a corrupt political-fixer named Tony Rezko; he embraced the racist ideology of Harvard professor Derek Bell and he was a member of Chicago's Trinity United Church that was pastored by the arch-racist Jeremiah Wright.  

Certainly, a lot of people have made mistakes in their lives and have associated with bad characters. If you do the research, you're likely to find bad people in the lives of many great world leaders throughout history. In that sense, Obama's no different.

But the difference with Obama is that he not only refused to change his worldview and disassociate himself from bad people, he concealed all that behind a phony facade that was created by his handlers to promote him as someone he isn't and never was. For example, he refers to himself as a Christian and yet Christians are often the targets of his insults and wrath.

Remember the famous crack he uttered in San Francisco during a campaign stop in 2007? He implied that conservative Christians are morons who cling to their guns and bibles during difficult times. That was the real Obama speaking rather than the phony one who delights in conning the socks off of his ignorant followers.

Who were targeted for abuse by the IRS? Conservatives. Who does the FBI now list as potential domestic terrorists? Conservatives. And what nation has been increasingly mocked, maligned and verbally threatened in recent years by the Obama administration and its media lackeys? Israel. Indeed, Barack Obama acts as though he's guided by the spirit of the Antichrist.

Biblical prophecy warns us that the real Antichrist will persecute Christians and Jews and put many of them to death. (Daniel 8:24, Revelation 13:7) Many of the previous antichrists throughout history have persecuted Christians and Jews, from emperors to kings to popes and ruthless dictators. You don't have to be a brain surgeon to figure out who's the spiritual inspiration behind those who persecute Christians and Jews. The apostle Paul identified him as "the god of this age". (2 Corinthians 4:4) He's also known as Satan.

Like the antichrists that John referred to in his first letter who never belonged to the early church, Barack Obama has never belonged to America. Remember when he initially balked at raising his right hand while being sworn in during his first inauguration in 2009? That said what a thousand words couldn't say concerning Obama's contempt for America.

Why did America get Obama as her 44th president? Because of God's divine judgment upon a wicked and adulterous generation. Wicked people get wicked leaders after their own evil hearts. The only way to change that is through repentance. Otherwise, who comes after Obama could even be worse, if you can believe that.

New Foes and New Friends

Vladimir Putin and Benjamin Netanyahu

The growing hostility between the United States and Israel is tragic and prophetic. Once Israel's most trusted ally, the U.S. has become a treacherous enemy of the Jewish state under the Obama administration.

Why? Because Barack Obama doesn't like to take no for an answer. When he told Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in 2011 that he wanted the Jewish nation to return to its pre-1967 borders, he expected yes for an answer. Instead, Netanyahu rejected his demand and he's harbored an immense hatred for the Israeli PM ever since.

In response to Obama's ridiculous demand, Likud Party member Danny Dannon spoke for Netanyahu, Israelis and millions of Jews around the world when he said this: "Barack Hussein Obama adopted the staged plan for Israel's destruction of Yasser Arafat, and he is trying to force it on our prime minister. All that was new in the speech was that he called for Israel to return to 1967 borders without solving the crisis. Netanyahu has only one option: To tell Obama forget about it."

Having failed to convince the Israeli PM to change his nation's borders, the Obama administration then tried and failed to oust Netanyahu in the recent Israeli election by backing the Zionist Party's Isaac Herzog through leftist groups such as One Voice and J Street. After Netanyahu was reelected, the Obama administration then threatened to take action against Israel through the corrupt United Nations Security Council.

Why? Because as a last minute campaign promise, Netanyahu pledged that there would be no Palestinian state if he was reelected. That enraged Obama who wants history to recognize him as the man who solved the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.

From presstv.ir: The White House said Wednesday the US may not use its veto power in the United Nations Security Council to shield Israel from unfavorable resolutions, a dramatic shift in a decades-old US policy. The US would reevaluate its approach based on Netanyahu's "change in his position," White House Press Secretary Josh Earnest told reporters. "The United States and this administration are deeply concerned by divisive rhetoric that seeks to marginalize Arab-Israeli citizens," Earnest said. "It undermines the values and democratic ideals that have been important to our democracy and an important part of what binds the United States and Israel together."

Why does Obama's grow large stones when he deals with Israel, but then lose them when he deals with just about everyone else such as Russia, Syria and Iran? Two reasons: (1) He's a committed leftist who's truly convinced that much of the Islamic terror in the world is the result of Israel's existence and (2) his hatred of Jews and Christians.

Oh sure, Obama claims to be a Christian. But the Jesus Christ he follows isn't the biblical Christ but rather a different Christ who's a champion of social justice. Why does Obama despise Jews? Because he sees them as the Islamic world sees them; greedy money-changers and capitalists who seek to control the world's financial system.

America's growing hostility against Israel is likely to continue with the next administration after Obama mercifully leaves office. That will prompt the Jewish nation to seek a new friend in the world that will protect her from her hostile neighbors.

Who's likely to be Israel's new ally? That ally will likely be Russia. Buy why? Because Israel has a large population of Russian Jews who Russian President Vladimir Putin has promised to protect. And Putin recognizes Israel as the birthplace of Jesus Christ. Since he's an Orthodox Christian, Putin realizes that there are several holy sites in Israel that are sacred to Orthodox Christians, and those sites would likely be destroyed if they fall into the hands of Islamists.

Is Putin fond of Israel? Not really. However, unlike Obama, he realizes that Israel's existence is vital to the stability of the Middle East. Without a strong Israel, the Middle East would become utterly chaotic which could affect Russia because the Bear sits directly north of the Middle East.

Then why does Russia supply Syria and Iran with weapons and military technology? Because the Bear doesn't want violent Islamic terror groups taking over the governments of those nations as they did in Libya and Yemen. And Russia strongly suspects that the Obama administration has fomented much of the unrest that's plagued the Middle East since the dawn of the Arab Spring in late 2010.

Will there be a relationship between Israel and Russia? Indeed, there will be. Though it will begin well, it will end badly. A powerful world leader is coming who will negotiate a peace treaty with Israel. That treaty will allow the Jews to rebuild their coveted Temple in Jerusalem in exchange for Israel's sovereignty.

Who will this leader be? He will be the dreaded Antichrist. And he will come from Russia. http://www.prophecyreviewonline.org/apps/articles  He won't be Putin. Rather, he'll be a miracle-working man who'll captivate the world with his hypnotic speeches.

And he'll have an ulterior motive for allowing Israel to rebuild her Temple--so he can enter that temple and declare himself God to the world. The apostle Paul wrote this: "Concerning the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and our being gathered to him, we ask you, brothers and sisters, not to become easily unsettled or alarmed by the teaching allegedly from us—whether by a prophecy or by word of mouth or by letter—asserting that the day of the Lord has already come. Don’t let anyone deceive you in any way, for that day will not come until the rebellion occurs and the man of lawlessness is revealed, the man doomed to destruction. He will oppose and will exalt himself over everything that is called God or is worshiped, so that he sets himself up in God’s temple, proclaiming himself to be God." (2 Thessalonians 2:1-4)

Thus, Israel isn't going anywhere. The Jewish nation is destined to find a new Big Brother in the world. And that Big Brother is going to be the Russian Bear.

Just what is the definition of a Jew? According to the Random House Dictionary, a Jew is "a person whose religion is Judaism...one of a scattered group of people that traces its descent from the Biblical Hebrews or from postexilian adherents of Judaism; Israelite."

Most people would agree with that explanation, although many in the Islamic world are convinced that the Jews are descended from rather vile and unclean animals.

But how does the Bible define a Jew? Much differently than the world does. For example, the apostle Paul who was a Pharisee which was the ancient equivalent of a modern Orthodox Jew, defined a Jew this way: "A man is not a Jew if he is only one outwardly, nor is circumcision merely outward and physical. No, a man is a Jew if he is one inwardly; and circumcision is circumcision of the heart, by the (Holy) Spirit, not by the written code. Such a man's praise is not from men, but from God." (Romans 2:28-29)

Paul explained that a person who is truly recognized as a Jew by God is a person who has been born again by faith in Jesus Christ's death on the cross for their sins and His resurrection from the dead. At the moment a person confesses Christ as Lord, they are born again and their hearts are circumcised. 

Lest anyone believe that Paul made that up, consider that Moses said the same thing many centuries earlier when he spoke to the ancient Jews: "Circumcise your hearts, therefore, and do not be stiff-necked any longer. For the Lord your God is God of gods and Lord of lords, the great God, mighty and awesome, who shows no partiality and accepts no bribes. He defends the cause of the fatherless and the widow, and loves the foreigner residing among you, giving them food and clothing." (Deuteronomy 10:16-18)

The outward circumcision therefore is symbolic for the true spiritual circumcision that happens when a person opens up their sinful, hardened heart by faith in Christ to allow the Holy Spirit to enter. This is how a person is born again and that's the only way a person gains eternal life in Christ. It doesn't happen any other way.

And according to the biblical definition, God recognizes everyone equally who've been born again in Christ. To that amazing fact, Paul wrote this: "You are all sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus, for all of you who were baptized into Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ. There is neither Jew nor Greek, slave nor free, male nor female, for you are all one in Christ. If you belong to Christ, then you are Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise." (Galatians 3:26-29)

And so, a person may be considered a Jew by the world, but not by God. And that's what Christ meant when he declared the Jews who rejected Him as members of the synagogue of Satan. (Revelation 2:9, Revelation 3:9) Though the rabbis claim that Christ condemned all the Jews with those statements, He didn't, and only a complete fool would believe otherwise.

Just as Satan has his synagogue, he also has his church. Not everyone who professes to be a Christian is recognized by God as a Christian, but only those who have truly been born again in Christ. Christ Himself said this: "Not everyone who says to me, 'Lord, Lord,' will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only those who do the will of my Father who is in heaven. Many will say to me on that day, 'Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name and drive out demons and perform many miracles?' Then I will tell them plainly, 'I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!" (Matthew 7:21-23)

There are a lot of phony Jews and a lot of phony Christians. A true Jew is a true Christian, and a true Christian is a true Jew. They are one and the same. The very term Jew comes from the word Judean that identified a person who belonged to the tribe of Judah, one of the 12 tribes of Israel. 

Jesus Christ came from that tribe. And a Judean was a person who praised and worshiped the true God of the universe. 

Certainly, many folks claim to worship God. However, unless they worship the one true God who sent His Son Jesus Christ into the world to die for the sins of mankind, then they're worshiping a false god. And they have no right to be called the children of the true God.
